We are working close to the community, helping individuals to be safe and companies to operate keeping risks down
COVID-19 has been the most recent discovery of the coronavirus, an extensive family of viruses that cause infectious diseases.
Today, it has been classified by the World Health Ministry as an international public health emergency (ESPII), after it started in late 2019 in China, and expanded to more than 185 countries.
Its spread has been rapid and massive, since the contagion can be generated through droplets expelled from the nose or mouth of an infected person, by coughing, sneezing or speaking. In the same way, these residues can fall on objects or surfaces. What generates a risk the contact not only with people, if not, with crowded places.
Similarly, there are different levels of severity of symptoms for patients, to the point of not having any, but being carriers of the virus.
This disease, was now baptized as SARS-Cov2, for having a genetics very similar to SARS, a coronavirus that only emerged in 2002, also causing a pandemic that caused many deaths.
These are the symptoms that a person carrying COVID-19 can present.
In our medical centers, we are doing tests to detect the possible presence of Covid-19 in our patients, the tests are always accompanied by medical consultation.
Virus testing and antibody testing options are currently available for the virus. For active infection, virus test consists of an oral or nasal swab, while the antibody test includes a blood draw to determine prior infection and potential immunity.
